The Middle East is an area where car is king and fuel is low-cost, frequently leaving little incentive to find more environmentally-friendly ways of moving around.
But this year, as demonstrations throughout the Middle East have risen the cost of oil, the issue of discovering alternative sources of fuel has actually entered sharp focus.
In an area that has among the greatest carbon footprints on the planet, one service is benefiting from the growing pressure to find options to oil. It's established the Middle East's first plan to recycle cooking oil into biodiesel. It's showing successful too, currently their client-list includes McDonald's.
